CREATING YOUR ZEN DEN

CREATING YOUR ZEN DEN

HOW TO CREATE YOUR ZEN DEN

Home is a sanctuary, an escape from the outside world. Yet, when you’re required to stay at home? That changes things a little. Home is now your office, cafe, movie theater, restaurant, and bar for virtual drinks with friends. How do you zen out at the end of the day when the space you reserved for quiet solitude is suddenly where you spend all your time?

Now you’re working, relaxing, and socializing all in the same place. Without these boundaries, it can be easy to blur the lines and forget that home is a sanctuary.

So we’re here to help you create a zen den. Sometimes, a few tweaks can help keep the different parts of your life separate under one roof. This makes the space for you to actually relax when needed and here’s how to do it.

DEFINE IT

Reserve certain spaces for specific activities. If you work from bed, you’ll associate your bed as a place of work, not one of sleep and relaxation. Find a way to set up a spot reserved for work only: sit down when the workday starts, get up when the workday ends.

KEEP IT TIDY

When your home is clean, it’s more simple and calm. If you can’t see the top of your nightstand, clear it off. Keep your clothes in the closet, not strewn across the bed. When you avoid excess, your mind can easily calm down without distraction.

MAKE BATHS A HABIT

A bubble bath is dedicated alone time, it’s just you, no distractions. It’s time off every day to process your thoughts, emotions, and mindfully check-in. You can also make space for self-care that might otherwise be neglected. Add a few drops of our Bath and Body Oil, which combines Jojoba Oil, Green Tea, Lavender, and Verveine to relax, detox, and calm you down at the end of the day.
